            TO COMPLAIN ABOUT A TELEPHONE INFORMATION SERVICE
           
          Telephone Information Services Standards Council (TISSC)
           
          TISSC deals with complaints about the message content and/or advertising content of any telephone
          information service. It covers 190 services (but not some aspects of sex lines which are handled
          by the ACCC), and includes recorded information, live information, fax or computer-accessed information.
           
          TISSC does not deal with billing disputes.
           
          TISSC is an independent regulatory body, funded by the telephone information services industry.
           
          Its services are free and if required, confidential.
           
          An Arbitrator will investigate to see if there has been a breach of the Code of Practice.
