ASIC (the Australian Securities and Investment Commission) has lots of
information about scams on its website and a great section called "The Pie in the Sky" Awards.
A 'must-read' before you part with your hard-earned money here.

Scams and internet fraud

 

ASIC has a range of information about buying/banking/transacting online here

The ACCC has a section on its website called "Report a scam" here -
it tells you how you can report all sorts of scams, including cyber-scams.

 

The US FBI (in conjunction with the US National White Collar Crime Center)

has a site that gives very useful information about internet fraud

including the top internet fraud trends: the Internet Fraud Complaint Center.
