Produce and Retail Grocery Industry Ombudsman

NOTE: This is not an Ombudsman for consumers.

Industry in this case means those businesses involved in the production, preparation and sale of food, beverages and non-food grocery items, including (but not limited to) primary producers, manufacturers and/or processors, wholesalers, importers and/or distributors, brokers and/or agents and grocery retailers.

In the event of disputes the Retail Grocery Industry Ombudsman provides independent mediation services to participants in the retail grocery industry.

The PGIO has been set up under a voluntary industry code called the Produce and Grocery Industry Code of Conduct.
