To complain about public transport
|
(5) Under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992, the Human Rights and
Equal Opportunity
Commission (HREOC)
has a role in handling discrimination complaints,
including in relation to
public transport. More about HREOC here.
The Public Transport Ombudsman Victoria (PTO) deals with public
transport complaints
in Victoria.
The PTO is independent of the public transport operators and its services are free.
It will take complaints that people who use or are affected by public passenger
transport
services, or the public transport activities of the operators,
have been unable to resolve with the company directly.
To date, Victoria is the only state with such a scheme for public transport.
